It was difficult to narrow down my top choices for mixes this year, as there were so many to choose from across multiple genres. All of the creative energy that artists would’ve spent performing live in clubs and festivals was channeled into creating content that us listeners happily streamed during living room dance parties, socially-distant picnics, long drives, and afternoon runs. However, that didn’t stop DJs and producers from releasing loads of quality mixes and tracks, and even taking their live sets online for a worldwide (web) audience. If 2019 was a fire emoji of parties and nightlife, 2020 saw that flame virtually extinguished. Hope you enjoy exploring the mixes, dive in below. Many of them rely on community funding to survive, and all of them are doing essential work, so give them a follow and donation if you’re able to.
